Video Studio privacy notice
This notice covers the internal Wet Roller Video Studio desktop workflow. It does not cover unrelated forms or analytics on the main Wet Roller website.
Google access
Video Studio uses YouTube API Services. When an authorized Google account with access to the Wet Roller channel connects it, the tool requests https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly. We use read-only access to confirm that the connected account is the intended Wet Roller channel and to check an upload. We use upload access only to publish a video selected by our team. The tool does not read watch history, contacts, email, or files from Google Drive. Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
What we store
The OAuth client configuration stays on the operator's computer. The Google refresh token is stored in macOS Keychain, not in our code repository. A local upload ledger records video identifiers and upload details to prevent accidental duplicate publishing. Source footage and rendered exports remain in the team's local production workspace unless separately shared through normal business workflows.
Sharing and visibility
Approved videos are sent to Google YouTube for hosting. Our default is unlisted: a video is not listed publicly on the channel, but anyone with its link can view it. We share those links with the relevant client or team. We do not sell Google account data or use it for advertising.
Retention and control
The local refresh token remains in macOS Keychain until the operator disconnects or replaces it. Video Studio's disconnect command asks Google to revoke access, then deletes the local token and upload ledger for that connection. If Google cannot confirm revocation because of a temporary error, the command keeps the local token so the operator can retry; the operator can also revoke access in Google Account security settings. The dedicated connection checks authorization weekly and removes its local token and upload ledger when Google reports that access is no longer valid. The weekly check also removes local upload records older than 23 days. If the operator's computer is off, cleanup resumes when the tool next runs. Disconnecting does not remove videos already uploaded to YouTube. An authorized account can manage those videos in YouTube Studio. Contact us to request removal of local tokens or upload records, or to ask about a video.
